Here are some shots of the B7971x8 display. At this point all design revisions are complete and all that remains is to write up the documentation. As the driver boards will be supplied assembled and tested, the only assembly work required will be to solder the socket pins to the tube boards.
Once I have posted the plans, people wanting to build it will order the display board from me (they are available now), Theycan then order the enclosure from Ponoko, Display boards from batchpcb.com, socket pins from Digi-key. The cost (not including tubes, of course), will be in the $300 range.
